Google Chrome is the next best thing when it comes to browsing the net. Most frequent internet users already know that IE is bad both in speed and security. Firefox which controls about a quarter of the market is known for being a beast in security. However Firefox is also a resource hog on the computer and crumbles in comparison to Chrome speeds. Chrome is about twice as fast as Firefox even after Firefox's new update increased its speed by 14.5% However many skeptics site security as the main flaw in Chrome. Released in mid 2008 Chrome was reported for having several key flaws in security. However that was one and a half years ago and those flaws have long been fixed. According to this article about a "hacking competition", Google Chrome was the only browser NOT exploited. It seems to me that security issues is a crippled horse argument. But don't take my word for it! Just try it out yourself. And no, Google isn't paying me anything for this.

Yes, however Chrome is a lightweight browser. It is good to browse quickly in. It also is more visually appealing and supports early stages of new developements such as HTML5.

However, Firefox has more power and features. For me, as a webdesigner, I use firefox during development with some extra extensions.
